Replit's Monitoring Agent can find a production bug, fix it and publish the fix on its own

Replit launched Monitoring Agent on October 22. When an alert fires on a published Replit app, it reads production logs and metrics, finds the cause, validates a fix and emails you a summary. With auto-publish on, it also deploys the fix.

This builds on App Monitoring, which Replit shipped earlier this year to send health checks and alerts when a published app went down. The new part is that the agent acts on the alert instead of just telling you.

There are two switches. Alerting plus auto-fix lets the agent investigate and prepare a validated fix, then email you what happened. Auto-publish lets it push that fix to production without you. Both live in the app's Publishing settings.

Replit didn't publish numbers on how often the fixes are right, and the post doesn't say what counts as validated.

Why it matters

For solo builders on Replit, this covers the 2 AM alert you'd otherwise miss. It's also an agent with write access to production, and you're choosing how much to trust it with one toggle.

Try this

On a published Replit app, open Publishing settings and enable monitoring alerts and auto-fix, but leave auto-publish off. You'll get an email with each proposed fix to review before anything ships.
